The scope of Life EWAS project :
LIFE EWAS aims to foster innovation in the area of public and private interest of waste management by demonstrating the potential of new information technologies to OPTIMIZE current EU waste management operational methodologies and to establish a way forward for the standard adoption of a more sustainable model.

Life Ewas kick off meeting took place in Seville, Spain 17 - 18 July 2014
A very successful event was hosted by the project leader – Wellness Telecom in Seville, Spain between 17th -18th of July under the framework of the EWAS Life project which was recently awarded by EC to the consortium; D-Waste, Wellness Telecom, ENT, DEDISA and LIPASAM. The first day was dedicated to the mutual introduction of partners and of the project as a whole. .

Life EWAS presentation in a networking event of European projects - Athens 28th of November 2014
Life EWAS project was presented in a networking event of European projects on Friday 28th of November 2014 in Athens, Greece. The event was organised by ZEROWASTE PRO, a European Programme of Territorial Cooperation MED 2007-2013, in parallel with a 3 day seminar on composting and recycling, planned by “Ecological Recycling Society” (www.ecorec.gr) and the Greek “Association of Composting Companies”.

The 2nd EWAS Work Meeting in Barcelona, Spain
All EWAS partners participated in the two-day meeting, which was held with great success, on the 6th and 7th of November 2014, in the town of Vilanova near Barcelona.
The meeting was hosted by ENT, and was attended Ignacio García and José Antonio Cabo from Wellness Telecom, Ignasi Puig, Marta Jofra and Maria Calaf from ENT, Aida Anthouli from D-Waste, Kostas Paterakis, Iraklis Karabatsakis and Panagiotis Chatzirakis from DEDISA, and Francisco Serrano and Andrés Ferrete from Lipasam.

EWAS project was presented with a poster in CONAMA Congress
EWAS project was presented with a poster in CONAMA Congress 2014. This major environment congress was held in Madrid, Spain, from the 24th to the 27th of November 2014. Ignasi Puig, from ENT, was present at the Congress, and was responsible for disseminating EWAS activities throughout the event.

D-Waste attended the Waste Prevention Workshop - LIFE Project WASP Tool
On the 23th of September, D-Waste participated in the Waste Prevention Workshop which was held in Athens, Greece in the context of the LIFE Project «Development and Demonstration of a Waste Prevention Support Tool for Local Authorities – WASP Tool». During the event, D-Waste experts presented current projects of D-Waste.
